About the Role

Complete Solar Pros is seeking experienced Senior Solar Consultants who excel at complex sales and have a proven track record of closing high-value residential solar projects. This is an elite position for top-performing sales professionals who want to maximize their earning potential while leading the clean energy revolution in Northern California.

As a Senior Solar Consultant, you'll work with our most qualified leads and high-value prospects, designing premium solar solutions for larger homes and complex installations. You'll leverage your expertise in energy systems, financing structures, and consultative selling to close deals that other reps can't handle.

This role goes beyond traditional sales. You'll serve as a trusted energy advisor to homeowners, conducting comprehensive energy audits, analyzing utility bills, designing optimal system configurations, and presenting sophisticated financial models that demonstrate long-term ROI. Your technical knowledge and consultative approach will position you as the go-to solar expert in your territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive in-home energy consultations with high-value prospects
  • Design complex solar solutions including battery storage, EV charger integration, and whole-home energy systems
  • Perform detailed energy audits and utility bill analysis to maximize customer savings
  • Present sophisticated financial models including cash, loan, lease, and PPA options
  • Navigate complex permitting, HOA approvals, and utility interconnection requirements
  • Build strong relationships with high-net-worth clients and generate referrals within affluent networks
  • Mentor and train junior sales representatives on best practices and advanced techniques
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on complex system designs
  • Stay expert-level current on solar technology, battery storage, smart home integration, and industry regulations
  • Consistently exceed aggressive sales targets with high average deal values
  • Represent Complete Solar Pros at community events, trade shows, and networking functions
  • Maintain detailed records in CRM and provide accurate sales forecasting
Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

  • 3+ years of proven solar sales experience with consistent high performance
  • Track record of closing $100K+ average deal sizes in residential solar
  • Deep technical knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage, and electrical systems
  • Expert understanding of solar financing, tax incentives (ITC), and utility rate structures
  • Exceptional consultative sales skills with ability to handle complex objections
  • Strong technical presentation abilities with confidence explaining complex concepts
  • Experience with Aurora Solar or similar design software
  • Established network of satisfied customers and referral sources
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and professional appearance
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of solar sales experience with top-tier company
  • NABCEP Solar Sales Professional certification
  • Experience with luxury home sales or high-net-worth clientele
  • Background in electrical engineering, construction, or energy management
  • Bilingual (Spanish highly valued in California market)
  • Existing book of business or territory in Northern California
  • Previous team lead or sales management experience
